Bromley grabbed a point against play-off chasing Chelmsford City on Easter Saturday in an entertaining 3-3 draw at Hayes Lane.

Ryan Hall put the Lillywhites ahead on 21 minutes smashing a shot into the bottom corner from outside the area. Chelmsford captain Dave Rainford grabbed an equaliser just three minutes later heading in from a corner.

But, the goals kept coming on 26 minutes when Rob Gillman made it 2-1 to Bromley. Chelmsford keeper Ashley Harrison parried a Hall free-kick, but Gillman pounced first to follow-up and score at the second attempt.

Just days after leaving Bromley for Chelmsford, Warren McBean found himself levelling the scores again before the break. McBean went on a strong run through the defence to slot home past Wes Foderingham after 32 minutes and barely celebrated his goal in front of the home supporters.

Chelmsford took the lead for the first time through Ricky Holmes on 52 minutes. The striker's original effort hit the post, but he managed to sneak his rebound in the corner.

Just as the visitors looked like taking the points back over the Dartford Crossing, one of their former players spoilt the party. Jerrome Sobers headed home in the third minute of stoppage time. A deep ball from Steve Ferguson and a clever header back across the area from substitute Marcus Cassius allowed Sobers to power home before the final whistle.
