A BUS caused chaos in Maidstone town centre when it got jammed underneath some scaffolding.

The rear end of a two-deck Arriva bus got stuck under Paynes' grocers shop as it turned from Pudding Lane into the High Street at around 10am this morning.

The scaffolders are due to arrive later this morning to secure the building.
