School business manager Martin Millbank presents Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent's Yvonne Archer with £1,000 following the St George's School, Broadstairs, cabaret evening.

FUNDS at The Pilgrims Hospices in East Kent have been boosted following a charity show featuring the performing talents of staff and students at St George's School, Broadstairs.

The cabaret style entertainment that showcased a band comprising staff members was held in the main hall. Together with funds raised through student events including a cake sale and donations, the event raised £1,000.

Martin Millbank, business manager at the school, said: "We support a range of charities. The show was great fun and demonstrated what good all-round entertainers we have at St George's. The hospices do a great job and we are happy to support them."

Hospice representative Yvonne Archer said: "Donations are vital to our charity. I wish to thank everyone involved in the St George's event that helped raise this most generous amount of money."
