A 35-year-old Canterbury man was killed last night in a road accident on the A28 at Chartham. The victim was a passenger in a Vauxhall Astra which collided with a Toyota Carina at the junction of the Ashford Road and Hatch Lane shortly after 10pm.

An elderly couple in the Toyota and the 21-year-old driver of the Vauxhall suffered minor injuries.
