A car is thought to have lost control and veered onto a railway track.

Police and ambulance services were called to the incident on the A249 (Brielle Way), Sheerness, which happened this morning (Monday).

Crews are still at the scene.

An officer said: "It appears a car has left the road and gone onto the track."

Witness Chris Newman said: "It looks like a spectacular accident. A car seems to have gone through the fence and onto the track. It is quite an astonishing scene."
