Bleak House has undergone a £40,000 restoration

Bleak House, the former Broadstairs home of author Charles Dickens, has been put up for sale.

And it could be yours...for a whopping £2million.

It was where he wrote the novel of the same name and the great classic David Copperfield.

The imposing six-bedroom clifftop house, built at the turn of the 19th century, is now owned by a businessman.

It boasts Grade Two listed building status, and has been put on the market with estate agent Terence Painter Properties.

The stunning building was damaged by fire in 2006 but has undergone a £40,000 restoration.

The property is where he played with his children in the large garden.

It was a tourist attraction for decades - but was bought out by a jewellery shop owner in 2005.

Much of the Dickens memorabilia there was sold at auction in 2000.
