Manager Kevin Watson has added two more signings to his squad with the new Ryman League Division 1 North season just over a week away.

Striker Jack Pallen and defender Ryan Palmer bring his total of summer signings to five and Watson (pictured) said: "We weren’t desperate to bring in players but both the boys have impressed in a short space time.

"They have both got the right characters and abilities we need and gives us the 17-man squad with which we start the season."

Former Dartford striker Pallen has previously been on loan at Maidstone Road, while Palmer scored against Chatham for Maidstone in a pre-season friendly last month, only days before being released.

He immediately switched clubs and netted twice in successive pre-season games against Horsham on Saturday and Whitstable on Tuesday as Chatham won both games 2-1.

Chatham complete their pre-season build-up at home to Sittingbourne tomorrow (Saturday). Brad Potter could miss the start of the season as he is still recovering from a head injury.
