Death of aunt inspires charity walk

The death of an aunt has made a Medway woman more determined to raise thousands for charity.

Vivienne Hill, from Chatham will join 15,000 others at Hyde Park on Saturday for the 11th Playtex Moonwalk. The 26-mile trek starts at midnight.

Vivienne Hill, who works for EDF Energy in London and cousin Samantha Dennis hope to raise funds for cancer care and treatment - a cause close to her heart.

Her aunt Delcie died this week after losing her fight with cancer.

She said: “This has only made my cousin and I more determined than ever to do well. We only have to think of her and it spurs us on.”

“When we spoke to my uncle about it, he was quite touched to hear she was our motivation.”
