Popular defenceman Anthony Lennon has left Invicta Dynamos after eight years with the club.
Lennon, who joined Mos from Guildford Phoenix in 2004, has a new job which means he can no longer commit to ice hockey.
He said: "I am never a person that would want to walk away from a team halfway through a season but unfortunately I just won’t have the time to commit to training or games.
"We all know I’m not the fastest or fittest of skaters out there so I could do with all the training I can get! I have had such an amazing time with the Dynamos and I will never really be able to walk away from this club.
"I’m sure I will still be calling Smithy (Andy Smith) every day to see how things are, chatting to Kev (Parrish, coach) and coming to watch as many games as I can."
Lennon's departure follows that of fellow defenceman Tom Avery, who was released before Christmas.
Mos host Cardiff Devils on Saturday and travel to South Division 1 leaders Romford on Sunday in their first games of the new year. There’s optimism in the camp after a run of three straight victories either side of Christmas, against Cardiff, Streatham Redskins and Milton Keynes.
