Port of Dover traffic flow scheme right on track

The Port of Dover has reported good progress on a multi-million pound scheme to improve traffic management and customer service.
The Traffic Management Improvement (TMI) project in the Eastern Docks aims to provide customers with a much better service.
The TMI project is celebrating the 60th anniversary of the opening of Eastern Docks as a ferry terminal. Demolition works are well under way served the nation for the past 60 years as it has evolved into the that the port keeps pace with the demands placed upon it as an international gateway. Today this is even more the case as we oversee a comprehensive investment programme totalling £85 million that will challenge to Europe's busiest international ferry terminal.

"Throughout that time, there has been significant investment in order
transform our port and the levels of customer service we can offer.”
The port currently handles up to 160km of trucks a day, posing a real
