Rain in Sheerness, sunshine in Deal

British weather is known for being unpredictable.

This summer, we have experienced the hottest day on record, dramatic thunderstorms, and high winds are forecast for the weekend.

But today we saw two ends of the spectrum at the same time in Kent.

Sheerness beach was wet and windy this afternoon

Sheerness beach was grey and bleak at around 3pm today, with heavy downpours, thunder and wind.

However, Deal was postcard perfect - clear blue skies and gentle waves.

The stark difference between the two seaside towns has been captured on camera.

Deal seaside was postcard perfect earlier today

Both locations were similar temperatures of about 20C.
