Elderly woman seriously injured in A259 crash at Dymchurch

An 81-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash on the A259 at Dymchurch.

The crash - which involved a Peugeot and a Rover 25 - happened at the Marley Farm holiday village in the early hours of Monday.

The driver of the Rover did not suffer any serious injuries.

Two dogs have been taken to a local vet suffering from shock.

At 11am, a police spokesman said the road had been closed in both directions while the vehicles were recovered.

Witnesses are being encouraged to contact Kent Police.
