Eurotunnel delays after alarm on train

Eurotunnel passengers were subjected to a delay last night when an alarm sounded on a train.
It is the second such incident in 48 hours although they are not thought to be connected.
A Eurotunnel spokesman said it happened at 9pm.
"We had an alarm sound on a train and when that happens, the driver stops to carry out checks," she said.
"In this case it was a false alarm and the train continued. There was a delay about an hour and it did not affect other services."
An alarm on a freight train in the tunnel on Good Friday led to delays to of up to three hours. Safety checks were carried out and nothing was found.
