This was the scene after a car fell off a transporter in a Kent town. A pedestrian was fortunate to escape unhurt.

The incident happened in Maidstone when the transporter stopped at the junction of College Road and Knightrider Street just before 11.30am Tuesday.

The driver, who did not wish to be named, said: "I just braked at the lights and it shot off the top.

"It nearly hit a woman but she was fine and walked off - she was more bothered about me."
