Another dead dog has been found dumped at a beauty spot in Kent where four other bodies have been dumped over the past three weeks.

The body of a Jack Russell terrier, with injuries to its head and legs and cuts and scrapes was found at Wouldham Common on Tuesday morning.

An adult German shepherd was found on Monday. The dog had a broken leg, back and cuts all over its body.

Two six-month puppies have been found dead in the same area over the past few weeks, with similar injuries. A dead Staffordshire bull terrier has also been found.

The dogs were collected by the local authority dog warden and the RSPCA was informed.

RSPCA Inspector Alana Chapman said:"It is horrible that another dead dog has been found, again with horrific injuries.

"We would like to know who they belonged to and what is going on here."

Anyone convicted of causing unnecessary suffering to the dogs could face up to six months in prison and a fine of up to £20,000.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the RSPCA in confidence on 03001234999.
