Flooding expected across Kent as Met Office issues yellow weather warning

Flooding could occur across Kent as heavy rain is expected to fall.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the majority of the south east as downpours are forecast for this evening.

The warning will be in place from 6pm and ends at 10am tomorrow.

The Met Office website says: “Rain, heavy at times, is likely to cause some flooding and disruption in a few places on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.”

This means there could be disruption to public transport and some journeys may take longer.

The heavy rain may cause flooding meaning motorists could see delays on the roads.

Buildings could also become flooded as a result of the downpours.
