Forging new links

Since September 15 this year, The Kent Air Ambulance Trust has teamed up with The British Red Cross to ensure those involved in serious incidents, but who are not seriously injured, are given the right care, attention and support afterwards.

Jill Playle, director of communications at the Trust said: "Quite often it's the following day when people are trying to get over the trauma that they actually need the support."

The pilots and medical staff are now handing out British Red Cross leaflets to those at the scene of an incident, giving those who need it someone to speak to.

It is the first time the British Red Cross and The Kent Air Ambulance Trust have come together. To read more about the initiative head to Help for victims launched.
