No-one was more happy to see Danny Kedwell get off the mark for Gillingham on Saturday than manager Andy Hessenthaler.
The striker scored two penalties late in the match to help the Gills to a 3-0 win over Plymouth.
"He was my man-of-the-match by a country mile," said the Gills boss. "Every performance he has given us, he has given everything for the football club. You can see why he wanted to come here.
"It’s his hometown club, he is getting the rewards and we are getting the rewards. I am delighted for him.
"I know they were two penalties but he made the second goal with an unbelievable touch, outside of his right foot, to Rooney and he did what he is good at.
"I don’t think we can get any more out of him. He has been in exceptional form since the start of the season and all we can get is more goals. He will get 20 goals I am sure, and maybe more.
"He is already a fans’ favourite. It’s because he wants to wear the shirt and wants to give everything for the football club."
