Adam Miller says he wants to stay at Dagenham and Redbridge

Adam Miller has revealed his desire to leave Gillingham, but manager Mark Stimson isn’t convinced the midfielder means it.

Miller, pictured, is currently on loan with League 2 Dagenham and despite Stimson leaving the door open for a return, doesn’t seem interested.

“I’m done with that place,” Miller told the Barking & Dagenham Post.

Miller has been a regular in the Dagenham team and added: “I would love to extend my spell here as my time is done at Gillingham.

“I have made no secret that I don’t want to go back as I’m not enjoying it, and when you’re not enjoying it, you’re not going to get the best out of yourself.”

But Stimson responded: “Adam is Adam and he doesn’t help himself. He says things sometimes that he probably doesn’t mean.

“If he thinks his time is up and Dagenham want to do something then we might have to talk. But sometimes he says things he doesn’t really mean and that’s our (take) of it.

“Whatever will be will be, and if he does move on we’ll speak about it then. He could be back here in 10 days.”
