Andy Hessenthaler criticised his team’s defending after early goals cost Gillingham in their League 2 clash at AFC Wimbledon.

The Gills boss subbed Matt Lawrence before the break and he admits plenty more could have come off after a woeful start to the match at Kingsmeadow.

An improved second half, which included a stunning goal from Charlie Lee, was of little comfort to the Gills manager.
