Gillingham ready to offer former Tottenham and West Ham youth Joe Martin a deal at Priestfield

Gillingham are set to sign former Blackpool youngster Joe Martin on non-contract terms.
The 22-year-old full-back, pictured, is out of contract after being released by Blackpool at the end of last season.
He has been training with the Gills for the last two weeks and appeared in the recent friendly against Dagenham.
If Gillingham agree terms with the player he will go straight into the squad for the match against Macclesfield this weekend.
The Gills are lacking in cover at full-back following Callum Kennedy’s return to Swindon Town following a loan stint.
Martin, son of Alvin Martin, played youth football for West Ham and Tottenham before moving to Blackpool where he made 26 appearances including six during last season’s successful Championship campaign.
Because he hasn’t played football for anyone else this season the Gills are able to sign the player outside of the transfer window.
