Andrew Frampton has been given the all-clear to resume training.

The 33-year-old (pictured in action) underwent a brain scan after developing problems following a bang to the head in a recent fixture.

And the news that there is no lasting damage was welcomed by first team boss Martin Allen.

Allen said: "Andrew Frampton has probably given us the best news of the whole season, since I have been Gillingham manager.

Frampton received the blow in the game against Dagenham in the middle of last month. But over a week later the player still wasn’t 100% and Allen was keen to make sure there was no hidden problem.
