Gillingham's Andy Hessenthaler had harsh words with his team at the midway point of their League 2 match with Accrington

Andy Hessenthaler admitted there was a half-time "tear-up" in the Gillingham dressing room after the management team were less than impressed with the first-half showing against Accrington.

The Gills led the match 2-1 at the break but the Gills boss described their performance in the first 45 minutes of the League 2 match as unacceptable.

Cody McDonald’s goal in the second half made the game safe but Hessenthaler confessed that it was an ugly win, albeith a comfortable one in the end.
