Two boys, aged 11 and 12, have been arrested following a serious attack on a teenage girl.

The pair have been released on bail after being arrested on suspicion of assault following the attack in Pencester Gardens, Dover.

The victim - a 14-year-old girl from Temple Ewell - could now lose the sight in one eye.

Detective Sergeant Nicky Steele said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the bark being thrown or any earlier inter-action between the girl and her friends and the boy or boys in the Pencester Road area."
