Flooding, travel disruption and possible road closures could hit Kent according to the Met Office.

A yellow weather warning for heavy rainfall came into force earlier today and is due to last until 9pm.

In a tweet, Kent Fire and Rescue Service warned people to take extra care on water-logged roads.

The Met Office said: "Spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer, with a small chance of road closures.

"Bus and train services may be affected with journey times taking longer and flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible"

The latest warning comes after parts of Kent experienced a deluge on Wednesday last week when thunderstorms brought the recent heatwave to an abrupt end.
