Homes by river make most of great outdoors

Warmer weather is likely to bring a boost in sales to developments such as Fairview's Thames Waterside, Greenhithe.

It is a development where outside space has been made a priority.

Sales staff hope buyers will see the advantage of the longer days living next to the river.

The communal landscaped gardens at the development have been purposely designed for enjoying outside space, with tree-lined avenues for leisurely walks, a play area for children and many areas for picnicking and soaking up the sun.

As well as spending free time in the gardens, most of the flats have balconies which provide an ideal place for al fresco dining as the weather warms up, or to relax in privacy.

Jim Holliday, of Fairview New Homes, says: "Thames Waterside is a great location to embrace the spring weather, with magnificent views across the Thames and towards the iconic Queen Elizabeth II Bridge and outdoor spaces for residents to unwind and socialise in."

The Eurotunnel terminal at Ebbsfleet is just three and a half miles away allowing easy access to the continent and trains take just 17 minutes to London St Pancras for weekend breaks in the capital.

Courtyard and garden flats are priced from £159,995. River flats are priced from £199,995.

Greenhithe, near Bluewater, is part of the Thames Gateway Regeneration project that has received large amounts of funding from the government over the past decade.

It has plenty of restaurants and pubs and has the largest number of green spaces and parks in the borough.
