Kent fell silent to show respect to those who died fighting for their country.
People across the county gathered round war memorials at 11am for this year's Remembrance Services, many of which had to be called off in their physical form last year due to lockdown restrictions.
In London, Prince Charles laid a wreath at the Cenotaph on the Queen's behalf after she sprained her back.
Here is how Kent's towns marked the occasion.
Folkestone and Hythe
The town held a service and parade, starting at 10.40am at the war Memorial at the top of the Road of Remembrance
The service saw the attendance of MP Damian Collins as people gathered to pay their respects.
Gravesend
Remembrance Services also were held at the Windmill Hill Memorial Gardens this morning.
Earlier this week, Wrotham Road Primary School children walked down to Gravesend's war memorial of Squadron Leader Mahinder Singh Pujji to lay painted poppy pebbles.
To create a community tribute to those who served a local knitting group create remembrance post-box topper in the centre of New Ash Green and hid crotched poppies around the village.
Maidstone
Arranged by Maidstone Council in the High Street and The Broadway, an hour long service was held and wreaths were laid at the foot of their memorial statue.
Starting at 10.30am the event saw those in attendance pay their respects to those who fought in battle.
Medway
Residents met outside St Margaret's Church at 10.30 am at the Rainham War Memorial for this year's Sunday event where hymns were led by the Kent Police Band.
This year marked 100 years since the memorial in the town was first used for a remembrance service.
Tonbridge
Tonbridge joined the rest of Kent with a service at the Memorial Gardens with the Mayor of Tonbridge and Malling, Cllr Roger Roud and Mayoress Mrs Pam Roud in attendance.
A parade left Tonbridge Castle at 10.30am and proceeded along the High Street to the gardens at Bradford Street where the service and wreath-laying was held.
A remembrance parade also walked through Snodland led by the Tonbridge Scout & Guide Band.
