Invasive weed outbreak

AN INVASIVE and destructive weed has been spotted in one Kent borough.

Japenese Knotweed, which is listed as one of the world's 100 worst invasive species and can undermine roads and buildings and is infesting some parts of Bexley.

Growth has been reported at Church Road, St John's Parade and Jenner Close in Sidcup.

Under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 it is illegal in the UK to spread Japanese Knotweed.
