Kent have announced the death of the county's oldest surviving cricketer, Hugh Dinwiddy
Kensington born Dinwiddy, 97 last month, was a right hand batsman leg break/ googly bowler and a superb cover fieldsman.
He played for the county between 1933 and 1935.
Dinwiddy made his first-class debut against Worcestershire at New Road in July 1933 after scoring a double hundred for the 2nd XI against Devon. He made a career-best 45 against Surrey at Rectory Field, Blackheath, in the following match.
Dinwiddy also represented Radley Rangers and the Royal Navy.
