The proposed line up for a new-look London South East League has been revealed.

It shows all the Kent Hurlimann League clubs in the competition alongside Croydon, who played in the Kent League for three years until the end of the 2008-09 season and are now in the Combined Counties League, and six clubs from the Sussex County League that are based around the A26 heading into East Sussex.

The Sussex clubs provisionally placed in the league are AFC Uckfield, Crowborough Athletic, Peacehaven & Telscombe, Ringmer, Rye United and Sidley United.

Some Kent clubs, such as Tunbridge Wells and Sevenoaks, find themselves located in the middle of the proposed new league, but clubs like Herne Bay, Canterbury and particularly Deal could have significantly increased travel costs.

The new league is part of a move by the FA to establish 12 Step 5 divisions, which they have been consulting about since September. The next stage of the consultation sees all Step 5 clubs invited to a series of regional meetings with the one for Kent League clubs taking place at Thurrock on Sunday.

Any restructure is expected to take effect from the 2013/2014 season.
