We've compiled a list of the 10 cheapest houses in Kent available under Help to Buy.

The scheme, which helps people buy their first new-build house, sees the government lend up to 20% of the cost of the property.

This means house-hunters only need a 5% deposit and 75% mortgage to purchase the home.

More than 7,000 homes have been bought in Kent under Help to Buy since it was introduced six years ago.

This two-bed semi-detached home is the cheapest house available in Kent under Help to Buy, according to property website Zoopla.

It is one of 12 new homes being built in Lucas Close in Queenborough.

A two-bed terraced house at Persimmon's Watling Place development, set between Rainham and Sittingbourne.

This two-bed terraced house is one of 14 homes up for sale at the Bushy Ruff House development on the outskirts of Dover.

Another Persimmon home, this three-bedroom terraced house is part of the Aylesham Village development in the Canterbury district.

This two-bed semi-detached property in Sittingbourne has been viewed 456 times in the last 30 days.
