Kia launches new Picanto City model

Korean car maker Kia's new three-door Picanto `City' is the latest model to grace the firm's `Originals' collection. On sale now, the car is priced from £10,245.
According to Kia, the`Originals' models stem from the idea of a fashion collection - being frequently updated with distinct styles and personalities. This new Picanto `Original' features a red grille, 14-inch alloy wheels, chrome door handles, heated door mirrors and front fog lights. Metallic paint is a standard feature and the model is available in Blaze Red or Bright Silver. Its high specification also includes reversing sensors.
The car's interior boasts premium cloth upholstery, ample storage for personal items and a leather trimmed steering wheel with audio controls. Features unique to the `City' include ambient LED lighting, while Bluetooth connectivity allows the driver to make hands-free calls via voice recognition and stream music wirelessly.
Powered by Kia's low-emitting three-cylinder 1.0-litre petrol engine, the `City' produces 99g/km of CO2 and delivers 67.3 mpg on the combined cycle, making it exempt from road tax and the London congestion charge.
Comprehensive safety features include Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management and Hill Assist Control. Significantly, `City' is fitted with Cornering Brake Control, which is a first in the Picanto range. With six airbags, the `City' is extremely safe and is also equipped with five three-point seatbelts all round, making it one of the few 5-seaters in its class.
The car is covered by Kia's seven-year warranty and owners can cover the first three services of the car with Kia's Care-3 service package for £269.The Picanto `City' is one of the first models to adopt Kia's new re-designed bonnet badge, which will adorn new models progressively over the coming months.
