A CHILDREN'S TV favourite will help launch the start of Christmas festivities at a Kent town next week

Fifi, from CBeebies Show Fifi and the Flowertots, will be switching on the Christmas lights at Rainham Shopping Centre, High Street, Rainham on Friday, November 30.

She will be mixing with shoppers from 3.45pm for an afternoon of entertainment, including performances by boys' choir Forte, the Rainham Rangerettes majorette troupe, and the Footsies Dance Centre.

At 5pm Fifi will be joined by the Mayor of Medway, Cllr Val Goulden, to press the magic button and turn on Rainham's Christmas lights.
