Kent’s radio station kmfm has announced the return of its Christmas appeal as it hopes to make this year its biggest yet.
The Give a Gift campaign aims to deliver as many toys to children who are in hospital over the festive period, care facilities, and living in difficult situations who might not receive a present under the tree.
Last year the appeal was a huge success with the station receiving almost 14,000 gifts which were sorted and delivered to almost 30 places across the county.
Supported by the car dealership Hendy Vauxhall and Peugeot Tonbridge, this time around the team is hoping to match the number of presents to bring even more festive joy and smiles to children and young people.
Regional general manager at Hendy Group, Will Hendy, said: “kmfm and Hendy’s Give a Gift is a wonderful initiative that will offer comfort to many young people in need across Kent over the coming festive season.
“It is a special year for us as we are celebrating our 165th anniversary, and it is great to bring it to a close by having our new Hendy Vauxhall and Peugeot Tonbridge site become a partner for this very worthwhile, community-driven campaign.”
There are three ways to get involved this year.
You can order a toy to be delivered to the kmfm studio, drop off your gifts to the studio directly or donate to kmfm’s Give A Gift JustGiving page which closes on Wednesday, December 4.
The address for delivery is kmfm, Medway House, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate, ME2 4DU and donations must be made by Friday, December 6.

The team will not be accepting second-hand gifts or edible items and when delivered the gifts should not be wrapped.
