A SHOP in a Kent village has been targeted by a robber armed with a knife for the second time in four weeks.
Members of staff at One Stop in Bewsbury Cross Lane, Whitfield, near Dover were confronted with a man holding a kitchen knife on Monday night. The store is known locally as The Triangle Stores.
He escaped with cash and scratch cards from the safe.
The terrifying incident came only weeks after staff at the same shop were threatened with a knife and forced to hand over phone cards and money on February 12.
In the latest theft, the raider is described as a white man, aged mid 20s to early 30s, and was wearing a grey jacket, grey tracksuit bottoms, black gloves and white trainers.
He spoke with a Liverpudlian accent. A similar description was given to the police after the robbery in February and a police spokesman said officers are looking into the the possibility that the incidents may be linked.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 01304 240055 or Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
