A crash between a car and a motorbike on the A2 has left traffic stretching back several miles.

The accident took place at about 7.30am on the London-bound stretch of the road just after the exit for Longfield, near Pepper Hill, Northfleet. It left motorists in queues back to the M2.

Fire crews from Thames-side were called to the crash and made the area safe but did not have to cut anyone out of their vehicle.
