AN OVERTURNED lorry caused traffic chaos on the M20 near Maidstone during this morning's rush hour.

The lorry tipped over at about 3am blocking the inside coastbound lane of the motorway near junction eight, the Leeds and Hollingbourne turn-off.

Traffic police initially coned off the lane but closed the road completely at about 7.10am to allow recovery teams to remove the truck from the carriageway.
