A 19-year-old Thanet man is due to appear in court today charged with the rape of a girl of 16. Police arrested David Curtis, of Auckland Avenue, Ramsgate, on Monday following the sexual attack on the girl at Park Crescent Road near Dane Park, Margate, in the early hours of Saturday.

Mr Curtis was charged late last night and is due to face Thanet magistrates at Margate today.
