A 49-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with a spate of bank robberies in the Medway area.

Terence Cole, of Charter Street, Chatham, has been charged by Kent Police with four counts of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.

Cole was charged on December 22 and appeared before magistrates the following day.
