Investigations are continuing into how a man is thought to have been electrocuted at a Marks and Spencer store in Tunbridge Wells.

Police have confirmed the death of Phillip Dodd, from Surrey, at around 3.30pm at the store in Calverley Road on Saturday.

An air ambulance was called, but the 62-year-old - thought to be repairing an electrical appliance - was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Health and Safety Executive have been informed and are investigating the death, and a post mortem is due to be carried out.

Kent Police said officers are treating the incident as a suspicious death at this time.

They confirmed the man who died was not a shop visitor.

An M&S spokesman said: "There was a tragic incident at the Tunbridge Wells store on Saturday and our thoughts are with the family concerned.

"We are now concentrating on doing all we can to assist the emergency services with their investigation and as such are unable to comment any further at this stage."
