Man fighting for life after three-car crash in Margate

A man's fighting for his life after a three-vehicle crash in Margate.

The 29-year-old motorcyclist from Margate is in hospital after his green Kawasaki was in a crash with a blue Mercedes and a red Nissan Micra.

Police are appealing for information after the incident at just before 6am today on Manston Road, between Fleet and Vincent Roads.

The Mercedes driver, a 46-year-old man from Cliftonville, is uninjured and it's believed his passengers are unhurt. The 50-year-old Nissan Micra driver, from Birchington, has minor injuries.

Police closed the affected section of Manston Road just after the accident, for the vehicles to be recovered and for a forensic examination.

Witnesses should call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 01622 798538 and ask for PC David Adams.
