A man in his 50s was treated for burns after a house blaze on Saturday night.

Fire crews from Tenterden, Lydd and New Romney attended the ground floor blaze at the semi-detached house in Coxland Close, Appledore, at 11.12pm, coming away at 12.30am.

Police also attended.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
