A KERB crawler has been locked up for violently raping a prostitute in his car after threatening her with a screwdriver.

Astrit Rama, 35, seriously assaulted the woman in Welling after picking her up as she touted for sex.

Jobless Rama, of Cracknell Close, Enfield, was jailed indefinitely after being found guilty of rape.

The Woolwich Crown Court judge recommended he not be considered for parole for at least seven years.

Rama had denied rape, but was found guilty in September. He was acquitted of robbery.
