Man killed in crash named

Accident

A man killed in a Surrey road accident was from Maidstone, police have confirmed.

Police have named Dean Barry Smith, 38, as the motorcyclist killed in a collision on Outwood Lane, Bletchingley, on Thursday, May 21.

Mr Smith died after the blue Suzuki motorcycle he was riding left the carriageway just after 5.45pm.

The police helicopter and dog unit helped officers and members of Surrey Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance to locate Mr Smith.

Road closures were put in place until just before 11pm while officers carried out investigations.
