In the early hours of Tuesday Adam Green, 24, unemployed, of Hards Town, Chatham, was charged with an incident in Railway Street, Gillingham, on Thursday, April 12, which is thought to have led to the shooting the following day.

Green has been charged with one count of threats to kill and one count of affray and appeared in court yesterday.

The alleged offences relate to an incident at about 3pm on Thursday, April 12, at an industrial plot comprising several vehicle-related businesses.

Green has been remanded in custody until April 23, to reappear at Medway Magistrates' Court.

Three other people were arrested and bailed over the weekend in relation to various offences around the alleged business dispute that it is believed led to the shooting.

Two men, a 27-year-old and a 34-year-old, were seriously injured in the shooting but have since been discharged from hospital.

Police have said enquiries are still ongoing.
