A man is recovering from the effects of smoke inhalation after he had to be rescued from a fire in a large derelict house in Ramsgate.

Four pumps and about 30 firefighters were called to the two-storey property in Belmont Road, at about 3.15am.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
