Police are investigating an assault in a Canterbury wine bar.

It happened shortly before 1am on Friday, when a 20-year-old man was involved in a fight at Alberry's with another man, who allegedly hit him with a glass bottle.

He was taken to Kent and Canterbury hospital for treatment to the injury on his forehead.

The suspect is described as being white, aged around 18, slim and with short brown hair. He was wearing a grey shirt.
