THE body of a man, believed to be in his 40s, has been discovered by police in a green BMW at the top of Detling Hill, near Maidstone.

The discovery was made near the entrance to White Horse Wood car park, on Saturday at about 8.30am.

Firefighters were despatched to erect a screen to shield the investigation scene from passing traffic.

Speaking at the scene, Det Insp Caroline Nyman said the death was not being treating as suspicious.
