Margate featured in new Apprentice TV series

Fans of the popular TV reality show The Apprentice will see part of the battle for boardroom supremacy played out in Margate when The Apprentice returns for a fifth series tonight at 9pm (Wed March 25).
The awarding-winning BBC show pits 15 corporate contenders against each other as they battle for a job with multi-millionaire businessman, Sir Alan Sugar.
The budding apprentices face a string of tough challenges, which include rebranding Margate as an iconic British seaside resort in a bid to attract more tourists.
Filming reportedly took place in October, when local people spotted the contestants and Sir Alan’s two no-nonsense advisers, Nick Hewer and Margaret Mountford.
Two Kent residents are among those competing for the prized job.
Single mum Lorraine Tighe, 36, claims to have been the top salesman in every company she has worked for, while former beauty queen Mona Lewis, 28, says she “knew she would be selected” for the show.
The Apprentice is due to return to BBC One on Wednesday, March 25 at 9pm.
