Medway and Maidstone's Cameron Corbishley leads Kent one-two to win English under-15 boys' 3,000m walk title at Bedford

Cameron Corbishley of Medway and Maidstone AC brought a national title to Kent when he won the under-15 boys' 3,000m walk at the England Athletics Championships at Bedford at the weekend.

Corbishley, pictured, timed 13min45.05sec and was joined on the rostrum by silver medallist Guy Thomas (15.34.46) of Tonbridge AC.

Maya Bruney of Blackheath and Bromley Harriers won the under-15 girls' 100m gold in a personal best 12.29sec and the 200m title (25.24) to cap a perfect weekend.

Meanwhile, Phil Anthony added the Sandwich Festival 10k to his growing list of road race victories this year.

An impressive return of 31.17 saw the Invicta East Kent athlete finish more than four minutes ahead of Carl Jones (35.43) and Chris Valdus (35.51) of Ashford and District AC.

A modest field of 120 finishers included the first three women from Larkfield AC. Sarah Anne Mooney (40.46) was joined on the podium by W35 Caroline Terburgh (42.45) and w35 Abi Johnson (43.41).
